🦐What you'll need:
Large prawns, basil, shallots, bird's eye chilies, garlic, Thai sweet chili sauce, fish sauce, black pepper, oyster sauce, light soy sauce
🍳Here's how to make them
1️⃣ Give the basil leaves a good wash; chop up the shallots, garlic, and bird's eye chilies and set them aside
2️⃣ Cut a slit down the back of the prawns to remove the vein, then snip off the heads, legs, and antennae
3️⃣ For the sauce: Mix together black pepper, light soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, Thai sweet chili sauce, and a splash of water
4️⃣ Heat up some oil and toss in the prawns. Gently press on the heads to get that yummy prawn oil out, then cook until they're all pink and cooked through. Take them out and set aside for now
5️⃣ Throw in the chopped shallots, garlic, and bird's eye chilies and let them get all fragrant, then add the prawns back in and give them a good stir
6️⃣ Pour in that sauce mixture and let everything simmer together for about two minutes so the flavors really soak in
7️⃣ Add the basil leaves, give it a few more stirs until the leaves get soft, and voila! Time to serve
